A. Claire is a part of this AU but she has another role in the story. Ms Claire was a mother figure to Dirk and Roxy before Jane Egbert.

Here's how Jake met Claire:

Ms Claire then tells him about her hard life and unfulfilled dreams.

She was the one who made a cute scarf for Roxy and these cool sunglasses for Dirk for their birthdays. Dirk is an albino and has very sensitive eyes, so he has to cover his face with a cap, and Claire just made his life easier :)
