Create, don't be creative
Too many people want to be creative without first getting into the act of creation - which is actually a lot simpler than it sounds.
Too many people think that creative = cool, outrageous, genius, out there, a masterpiece, another world. Impossible standards set by curated social media feeds that stuff us with beauty while fuelling our insecurities.
But see, "creative" comes from "create". To create is to give a physical, visual form to your thoughts. Those thoughts can be breakfast, a carrot cake, a blog post, a building, makeup for the mood, that flower you carefully nurtured from a seed planted in a pot, any thing.
As long as we have thoughts waiting to be given form, we are creating something every day, whether we know it or not.
Just create, dear friend. And apologies if I don't make sense.
