Then he was attacked by a villain made of slime and saved by All Might in the nick of time. Desperate, Izuku asked the question that's been on his mind since that fateful Doctor's appointment. "Can I be a hero even though I'm Quirkless?" They say don't meet your heroes. Those people were right. Izuku wished he had never met All Might. He almost wished the slime villain had killed him. At least he would have died still believing in his dream. He broke down in his mother's arms that night. Spilled everything he had kept hidden from her for years. What followed turned out to be the best thing for Izuku. He found a family. He found hope. He would prove to the world that he didn't need a quirk to become a hero. Only his dying will.
