Yes, I’m alive. Kind of. I am certainly alive enough to finally upload these podfics I’ve been working on for literal months! If you like podfics, please feel free to check them out and leave feedback! I really enjoyed the process and would be interested in doing more.

These works are originally by @alxdiamond​ who is a VERY talented writer and challenge mod! They won a bid for me to record a podfic and gave me two options. Since I had some irl business that delayed production, I ended up recording both in the hope it would make diamond smile.

What starts out as hot sex continues as hot sex, but also grows into a more profound emotional connection as the two get to know each other outside the sheets.

Who doesn’t a love a story about a one-night stand that turns into something much more? In this one, Dean and Cas fall into bed together pretty damn quick after they meet, but that’s only the beginning of something wonderful between them. And unlike a lot of other stories that gloss over the struggles of a developing relationship, this one does not. It’s not a particularly angsty story, but the very real issues that come up when establishing a relationship are given respectful treatment without ever overshadowing the fun, sexy bits. And trust me, there are a lot of those. That instant chemistry they feel on their first meeting is sustained through the entire story, and put to extremely good use in a variety of creative ways.

Something else that really makes this story stand out is its treatment of background characters. While they certainly do play the usual roles of being there to give support and advice while our two favourite lovers figure their lives and love out, they also have nuance and depth that really help round out this ‘verse, making it feel warm and welcoming and fully realized. It’s hot and funny and heartfelt and simply a joy to read.

This is my fave because: This is an auction fic, so it owes a lot of inspiration to @cyborgtopus - I don’t think it’s a story I ever would have written otherwise. But I love it. It’s so much fun getting to develop the relationship between Dean and Cas without worrying about a lot of outside factors or drama; just a happy getting together (and having a lot of sex) story. Trying to keep a nice middle ground without going too far into angst or fluff is a challenge - I’ve had to veer myself away from unnecessary angst more than once - and I think it’s resulted in a good story :)

This story’s pretty short and sweet, I wouldn’t say it’s fluff or anything but it’s romantic in a way. Anyway I found it adorable, I just kind of wish it was longer but it’s also good where it ended. Idk, whatever, just read it. ( I also really liked the design of the ghosts in this fic)

The costume had been Dean’s idea, and he’d worked hard to talk Cas into it. Cas could rarely refuse him for long, but his methods of persuasion had convinced Cas to hold out a little longer, just to continue to enjoy them. But Cas had given in eventually, despite his initial misgivings about bringing an aspect of their play out into the world. Dean made very compelling arguments. So there they were, turning Cas into a saran wrap mummy for Halloween.
