I apologize, I haven't read any of your works either, I was unaware you posted your fics! I'd still love to ask, do any real life events or people inspire your work (question 8) and I'm always curious about this since it never applies to me, but what kind of music do you listen to, if any, while you write (question 13)
It's okay! The once I have posted are on hiatus anyway, so I wouldn't suggest anybody to start reading them now, lol
8 It's not that the whole works are inspired by something, as much as I know, it could have been something subconscious, but one of my OCs, Michiko, is slightly based on my elementary school class-teacher. This might seem random, but it makes sense to me. Not much between them is actually similar, but they overlap in job (elementary school teacher), hair and random parts of their personality.
13 Listening to music while writing is not really something I do, I'm not a multi-tasking kind of person and I'm only listening to music while doing monotonous things, wich writing doesn't count as for me. To give you an answer though: Two of my fics actually have some kind of "Soundtrack", music I heavily associate with them.
For one, "Red String of Fate" is a fic I started writing on vibes and vibes only (wich was later its downfall because I had absolutely no idea where the story actually should go). One of those vibes was the song "Сердцебиение" by Агата Кристи (here's a translation). The lyrics are just overall a little bit Billford-y to me (in certain contexts), and it especially fitted the vague idea I had for the fic.
Another one is a fic I...well, haven't even started writing yet. But I will write it! And I have been thinking about it for a little while now. "A little Odyssey from Spain to Greece" is the story about a good chunk of my OCs and it got its "Soundtrack" from its unofficial Main Character, Ferrin (unofficial because I'll try to balance the POVs and the story between the Characters, but I'm also playing favorites, lol), who I really associate with "Le Coucou" by Louis-Claude Daquin (even slower actually than the version I linked here, but I just couldn't really find another one. Some musicians really like to show off). The active melody, that changes every now and then, but still stays so similar to its original, so similar to the motive of returning faces, people you see more than once in life, wich at this point is nearly a running gag in the story The interruptions through the cuckoo, The switches from a sadder to a happier melody, while keeping the motive,... Just the overall vibe.It has something magical, at least for me, and AlOfStG is a story about magic and about people who believe in magic and about people who are magical, all in their own way. And also it just strikes something in me, because it's music from my early childhood, something I have been listening to while playing butterfly (I was pretending to be a butterfly and dancing)... This fic is so important to me it reached Child Me in my core Uhm... I'm getting off topic.
Enough yapping in the post body I think I've answered your questions. I'll say what I still have to say in the tags.
Also triss thank you thank you thank you for giving me a reason to yap about AlOfStG!!!
