@etheirian asked : ✋ from magnai, because -- he has to, yes. because of danger. because of having to tug ieaki away.
MEME: Send ✋ to hold my muse's hand
He can scarce recall the last time the Steppe was the host to such an immense storm: he had hid within the caves with his brother and father, listening to the loud howls of the wind and how the rain hammered down. He recalls, vaguely, being frightened of the loud claps of thunder and the blibding flashes of lightning - and the tone of voice their father had used in describing the strong, unbeatable strength of nature.
Even as an adult he found such rare and yet incredible storms to be unnerving. Bare foot, he paced as fast as he found himself able through the hammering rain in the direction he had thought to be near the Mol, but instead finds himself entirely lost and in the wrong direction.
Great Stone pillars come into view, and it is with dread that the male notes his wrongdoing. He's no closer to shelter than he had been previously and now risks sickness given how long he's been pacing in the rains. Panic slowly begins to grip his heart, the rumbles of thunder overhead nigh deafening, the flashes of lightning disorientating.
A mighty crack reaches ears, presumed to be further thunder, startling he of whom wonders if he shall find somewhere suitable to hide until the remainder passes over but his thoughts were swiftly interrupted when a hand grasped at his own and tugged him into a half sprint.
All happened so swiftly and ere he could shout or take too much note of whom had dragged him so far from his already confused position, the near deafening thump of one very large stone disc hitting the ground behind him paused him. Eyes, stunned, fixated upon the piece of stone of which had dislodged from the very top in such adverse weather had almost crushed him... If he'd have remained where he had been for a second longer - - -
With saturated clothing and shivering violently, Ieaki found himself holding on to his apparent saviours hand. Perhaps it was the shock, perhaps it was simply the comfort of knowing that he was not the only one lost in the darkness of the storm - but he held on.
Even when eyes turned and he was able to make out the burning amber of eyes and the facial expression of discontent, he did not let go. In fact, he didn't say anything at all for a moment longer as all processed in his mind
"I'm... Not the only one of whom chose a terrible time for a walk, it would seem--"
