So I just transcribed the whole conversation Legundo and Owen had, so here are some thoughts I had.

Pyro and Owen RESPECT Legundo. Owen only calls the doctor Legs ONCE, and any other time he is doc, doctor, or Legundo. And lemme tell you... It's mostly doc. Like the ONE time Owen calls Legs Legundo I.... I might scream. Like omg it felt so intimate and genuine, and this is why I prefer using last names for people because there's just something so UGH about someone who barely uses first names using someone's FULL formal name in an intimate moment AUGH.

The moment in question: Owen: You’d like it too. You’re a doctor. Consider all the good you could do with an immortal life. You don’t lose those skills; they stay with you. You could save THOUSANDS, over the years. You have a real opportunity to make a real change in the world, Legundo…

Secondly, they misunderstood each other. Owen thought Legundo was offering to heal his vampirism. But based on the line "That story you told. Was it the truth?" Legundo is more concerned about Owen's mental state.

....Pyro doesn't want to be a vampire. This is abundantly clear when you watch his pov and he gets SO excited at the notion of the doctor being able to heal him.

And finally, an honourable mention: "But I'm not a monster." "I never called you one". I'M SICK, GUYS. THEY MAKE ME SICK!!

HEAVY SPOILERS FOR ZATO

im thinking about how near the end, before vorkuta-5 was wiped and corrected, asya kept repeating her name to herself in her internal monologue. she was cheery, but it still felt desperate. im asya. im asya. my name is.... whats my name? im asya. she cant let go. maybe she cant always remember why, but she doesnt want to let go.

and now im thinking about how as ira deteriorated, the last thing she knew how to do by herself was tap her name in morse. i-r-a. ira. ira. over and over. was she desperately clinging on to her identity too? the last of her... sanity? personhood? it was clinging on. she was clinging on, something in her was. i wonder what she felt in her last moment of recognition before she was gone.

tuor being fostered by elves from birth and thus having no memory of his family of origin (and very little contact with anyone besides his adoptive family prior to his captivity) puts him in a pretty unique position among mortal characters raised by elves. and in all the many fascinating things to think about re his life with the elves of mithrim and in the caves of androth is what it would look like for annael to have to try and explain to him that the expectation was that he was going to age and then die one day, and none of the rest of his family would. tuor’s sense of humour was a little morbid from the start.
