ughhh it drives me crazyyyy that the churches around here offer FEWER masses on holy days of obligation than they do on normal days. My only options for mass were 7 am, 10 am, and 6 pm BUT I only checked at 10:30 so I can only go to the 6 pm one but I already made plans with friends tonight. Ughhh like if its an official state holiday I get it but its literally not a state holiday AND the mass times are reduced AND they are keeping it a holy day of obligation i guess even though they are offering fewer masses. Literally just don’t make it an obligation then?! Like our neighboring Bistums literally don’t make it an obligation its soo dumbbbbbb
#They literally never mention in mass when there is a holy day of obligation coming up#and its impossible to find actually reliable info from my bistum#so im going with the german wikipedia page 🙄#because literally every website for every church around me does not mention a WORD about holy days of obligation#it literally pisses me off so much#if its an obligation then the church is responsible for making it possible for all catholics to go to mass#They are doing such a bad job its unreal#like i should not have to spend an hour searching to try to figure out if its actually an obligation or not#aaaughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
