Maybe there are limits to what partners of people in showbiz can take even if their relationship is fine in general? I am also lightly in HR fandom and eventhough initially the main actors seemed fine with it, recently Hudson (one of the leads) said 'stop rpfying' in threads under a post with something about his gf ( a lyric analysis post). Maybe it's that? I don't really get it though. I am of the mentality that if you actually have a committed relationship, then outside chatter from some random fans on some corners of the internet shouldn't matter but people are different.
Sam clearly cares so much about Jacob. He doesnt seem to be the lovey dovey type who calls everyone close friends,besties or family in every project of his. Anna Torv said they never even had dinner together once during their 3 season TNR run eventhough they clearly like each other, she even called him his "favourite screen partner ever" during an AACTA award acceptance speech. As opposed to Jam with all their little friendship dates to restaurants and theatres. Also speaking about how you can find a best friend in his 30s so earnestly from a kinda closed off person like Sam means something. They definitely have something special whatever it is. Can't deny that.

Season 3 is alright but its not as stellar as the first two seasons. Some decisions that were made for the show didn't work in Sam/Dale's favor if I'm being honest. So, I'm not surprised a certain someone went on the Emsolation page to drop 🔥s. That person should have attended the AACTAs.
I would not have tune in to the Aussie show if it weren't for Sam Reid. The fact that he was playing Dale and Lestat simultaneously on two different continents speaks to his talents. So, I'm thankful to Michael Lucas for writing and developing the character of Dale Jennings.
For the man who brilliantly brought Dale to life, much respect to Mr. Reid! We all know Sam has an amazing future ahead. TVL is coming...

EXACTLY. So many new things are about to happen. There isn’t anything new anyone could post on IG that would change the direction things are going in.
There's alot of whispers and talk happening on why Michael Lucas and the Newsreader cast was quiet about Sam Reid at the AACTA. Sam made the show. He is the reason why AMC picked up seasons 1 and 2 to bring the show to North America and other nations. Its one thing that Sam didn't win in his category but its entirely a different situation that ML didn't even mention Sam.
I think things are happening behind the scenes and it has nothing to do with Sam not appearing at AACTA (he's working outside the country). This feels personal. It feels like a recent energy change, and it involves another person. People are definitely choosing sides and others are trying to remain neutral. I will stop there. đź‘€

Pip liked but didn't comment on any TNR winner posts from Michael, Joanna, Michelle, etc (that I've seen), but she did comment a bunch of 🔥🔥🔥 emojis on a random post from the Emsolation podcast, calling out Michael's screenplay win. 🤔
Messy. Anyone remember Sam's appearance on the Emsolation podcast and how the female host:
1) downplayed and dismissed Sam's honest conversation about his anxieties,
2) brought up IWTV even though Sam was there to promote The Newsreader as a favor to Michael Lucas, and
3) called a female co-star (presumably Pip) from Newsreader his "girlfriend" when Sam has never acknowledged anyone as his girlfriend?
Rude, messy, and unnecessary. I often wondered how Sam felt after that interview? I really hope the host did some self-reflection on her behavior because that was a "no, no, no".
Michael Lucas was quiet while his co-host crossed lines with Sam which disappointed me. However, after last night, I now see ML as a "fence sitter". He doesn't want to rock anyone's boat. I'm not bashing him. I'm just making observations.
