not this anon i remember the same but also i heard dales story was supposed to unfold completely differently and by the time pips character came to be 2nd season the 3rd season was then named to be the last. i heard rumors as to why as soon as that storyline happened but i dont have solid sources so take it as gossip. also i heard sam didnt want to keep it going annyway and i think it had to do with him wanting to focus on iwtv/tvl.

I found the source. Michael said it was supposed to be more, then later structured as three acts.

Season 3 is alright but its not as stellar as the first two seasons. Some decisions that were made for the show didn't work in Sam/Dale's favor if I'm being honest. So, I'm not surprised a certain someone went on the Emsolation page to drop 🔥s. That person should have attended the AACTAs.

I would not have tune in to the Aussie show if it weren't for Sam Reid. The fact that he was playing Dale and Lestat simultaneously on two different continents speaks to his talents. So, I'm thankful to Michael Lucas for writing and developing the character of Dale Jennings.

For the man who brilliantly brought Dale to life, much respect to Mr. Reid! We all know Sam has an amazing future ahead. TVL is coming...

Pip liked but didn't comment on any TNR winner posts from Michael, Joanna, Michelle, etc (that I've seen), but she did comment a bunch of 🔥🔥🔥 emojis on a random post from the Emsolation podcast, calling out Michael's screenplay win. 🤔

Messy. Anyone remember Sam's appearance on the Emsolation podcast and how the female host:

1) downplayed and dismissed Sam's honest conversation about his anxieties,

2) brought up IWTV even though Sam was there to promote The Newsreader as a favor to Michael Lucas, and

3) called a female co-star (presumably Pip) from Newsreader his "girlfriend" when Sam has never acknowledged anyone as his girlfriend?

Rude, messy, and unnecessary. I often wondered how Sam felt after that interview? I really hope the host did some self-reflection on her behavior because that was a "no, no, no".

Michael Lucas was quiet while his co-host crossed lines with Sam which disappointed me. However, after last night, I now see ML as a "fence sitter". He doesn't want to rock anyone's boat. I'm not bashing him. I'm just making observations.

Interesting points, Anon. I’m inclined to agree with you. The female host is definitely Team Sip 4Ever.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but their great friend Michael Lucas didn’t even say a word about the people who weren’t present, and above all didn’t say a single thing about Sam’s performance. Nice. Nah, I sense a lot of fakery within that cast. As of today, as far as I know, the only one who actually thanked Sam last year was Anna Torv.

He didn’t? Woooow. My 10 cents? Everyone wants to steer clear of drama. Always better to be neutral.

There was an episode of a newly created podcast with an interview with Michael Lucas that was posted around the time he was in the U.S. for the International Emmies (season 2 of TNR was nominated). I know I listened to it and I know it was full of BTS stuff. It might have been (but I could be totally wrong) that is was dedicated specifically to TNR. As far as I know, it's not on Spotify anymore. I think it was never available on Apple. So I am pretty sure it was deleted. I will keep looking for it. But if anybody knows what I am talking about - is the episode/the podcast still out there or is it really completely deleted? Thanks!
