This case starts because Miles is helping Kay study for her exam, she's up to be a detective just like Gummy and then someone dies, the usual
The second one is a museum
The gang is visiting for a reason, and Kay convinces Edgeworth to do some tourism by pointing out how excited Sebastian and Gumshoe are to be overseas, and they visit a museum, Lang is here
and bam another person dies
Miles tries his best to protect his kids, but Sebastian was pointed as the major suspect, and as the case grows more and more complex, the more "that man" instances happen, every now and then Kay stoles his phone to call said man for advice because "if he knows what to do then ask him", and when he is in a particularly tight spot, Phoenix calls him from behind, having been brought by Gumshoe (Apollo is on babysitting duty)
Third one is our case in the past, in a hospital
Ending of last case leads to this memory along with the major plot in this story (like in the other games), and is mostly a case where Miles was working on a case but when he gets really close to the truth he's attacked by the real culprit and left out of commission, with someone who clearly innocent on the stand and him unable to reach the truth in time, hence the reason why he leaves the case in the hands of Sebastian and a certain man who'll act if they don't get enough evidence before trial is set

The last one is set on a cemetery
Back home, they want to question an old witness from the last case, but bam, they died while visiting someone's grave
