Happy Laboratory Animal Technician Week! The work we do to keep our lab animals in good condition saves millions of lives. We love what we do and we love our animals!

My AALAS learning library subscription is about to expire and I have it set to auto renew because I had been working on studying for the LAT certification but now that I’m no longer working with research animals and don’t know if I’ll go back to doing so I don’t know if it’s worth it to spend the money on.

Good grief!!

I currently have access to the AALAS library through my previous employers group account but eventually they will kick me out and I will have an individual account that I will have to pay for to have access to everything. Unless I get added to my current employers group account. I have spoken to 3 different members of our IACUC and no one has been able to tell me who our group contact is. They are the one who needs to grant me access to the library!!!!!! Why is this so hard?????

I took my exam yesterday to be an assistant laboratory animal technician, and I passed!!!! I am official!!

I’ll get my certificate here in a few weeks. Ya girl is gonna be all fancy with diplomas on her wall and shit!
