Even without the aid of his sense of sight, he knew that he was not the only presence inhabiting the room – there was another; a familiar entity, he sensed. There were only few brave souls who had the guts to enter his office unannounced and among those countable few, only one could be accused of heavy, shuffling footsteps – an indication that the significant other was a bit uneasy, he should be. Levi did not take well to impromptu appearances.
”Eren,” he called out, eyes still closed whilst he pondered momentarily as to what the younger needed so vitally that it supplied him with enough courage and motivation to disrupt Levi while he was in the middle of tedious paperwork --- seconds ticked away to a full minute and still no response. He decided against chiding him for not answering immediately, the kid must have his reasons – he should, and they better be good ones.
