piliin mo laging sumaya kahit babalik ka sa umpisa - Ron Canimo You know how people always think you're going to make something out of yourself and achieve things just coz you're the smart girl in school? And then you grow up and realize that life doesn't work that way. And you try to prove yourself and find yourself in the process. And then time passes and you grow older and you feel like the opportunities are getting slimmer by the minute. And you think you made worse choices after wrong choices. And you don't know if you can still start all over again. Well, now I'm a 32 year old single unattached woman, with my future still as blurry as my eyesight. And I took it. That leap of faith. That jump. I'm gonna miss all the 'Miss Jaqui' and 'Ma'am Jaqui' and that sense of stability; but I guess, after getting COVID19, there's that sense of realization that I get to live only one life and it is short here on earth. And that it isn't too late to be just me - Just Jaqui with the beauty of not knowing and not being prepared for everything, and that I too, deserve all the effort, love and happiness I give to the world. And so I did. Sabi nga ni Nightbirde: You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy. That first step outside of my comfort zone and all the things I am familiar with will always be the scariest. After that? I guess it's fingers crossed for new horizons, yes? As we celebrate the Independence of the Philippines today, I celebrate my new beginning ☺️🥰 (Court Interpreter Miss Jaqui, officially signing off) #smallvictories #newbeginnings #aapcjourney https://www.instagram.com/p/CQAjfXCh4jy/?utm_medium=tumblr
