I absolutely love your Yuri No Ice series! The artwork is beautiful (as is all your artwork) and the plot is well-developed and intriguing. And I enjoy puzzles so decoding the wanted poster was an extra treat. (I managed to solve most of what was written but couldn't make out what was out of the frame below the word "confirmation" or find symbols for J, Q, and X.) Thank you so much for being a part of this fandom and sharing your talent with us!!

I’m so glad you like my AU! ;A; AND that you like puzzles, because I’m going to be blunt: no one should expect to understand exactly where the AU is going and all there is to know about it in a few chapters. Nor should they expect me to state a lot of things in text form in the comic itself. I’ve mentioned before that this is a highly visual AU, and a lot of the cues to learning about the world will come from looking at the details and trying to catch all the references.

This may frustrate some people, and I’m also aware that there will be quite a few things people may not catch, so I may do “follow up/explanation” posts after some chapters to call attention to certain elements that may otherwise not make sense.

One note on the Prologue that will be consistent throughout the rest of the AU, and I’m sure some of you may have noticed (and I’m not sure if you did in decoding or not), but the text used in Victor’s Wanted poster and the primary text in this world is unabashedly simplified Aurebesh. Aurebesh is the alphabet used in the Star Wars Universe, though the text itself is English (I say simplified because I’m only using the letters A-Z). (this totally means that if you want to google image search an Aurebesh alphabet chart, you can decode what’s on the poster, this was not supposed to be hard ^ ^;)

While this is partially me self indulgently crossing over one of my past major fandoms, there is also in-world context for the use of this particular alphabet. You’ll see more on this later, but take it as you will for now ;D

Youichi wasn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers or use his fists to talk.

Their first meeting didn’t go over so well.
