Hey, um, sorry in advance that this message is so long, but I saw your post where you said your OCs weren't interesting, and I just wanted to give you a little helpful advice. I hope you don't mind. (Sorry, I know it's a bit weird to send you a submission instead of an ask, but this was too long to be an ask.)
If you're not working on them, that almost certainly means that they're not compelling enough to you to make you want to work on them. You need to make characters that are interesting enough to you that you enjoy working on them. My suggestion is to sit down and make two OCs that you put everything you have into. Work as hard as you can developing both these characters' appearances and their personalities to the best of your ability. When you're creating your characters, think about what kind of characters would captivate you personally, to the point where you would enjoy thinking about them often. Try to make them as original as you can, and avoid making clones of characters you've made in the past (also, avoid making the two characters clones of each other). I know it may sound ridiculous, but try daydreaming about your characters. If you don't enjoy daydreaming about them and the situations they go through, they're not good enough yet. Once you get to the point where thinking up scenarios about them becomes fun for you, create other characters in the same way, and insert them into the same story world. In this way, slowly, gradually, I believe that you will create very many OCs that are compelling to both you and those who experience your work.
