i'm so angry. i legit woke up to phone calls from family and friends in the UK who are terrified of / worried about this decision and it's like -- congrats, you bloody well did it this time. it's so scary to watch.

shit seriously? are they gonna be ok or is it still up in the air? this is such a terrifying time. 

people i know from the uk are reeling atm like god this was not a good idea.

and you know what, for ages i wanted to move to the uk and work and live there bc of the closeness and stuff to europe but now lmao nope that’s not happening

!! i'm pretty sure there'll be things on (particularly) cap and political issues, so if that's the direction you're going in, i can find something, i'm like 99% positive. but yeah! i'll put together a list for you and send it your way, and you can see if your library's got them as well!

yeah! it seems like a good choice since obviously comic books originally dealt w a lot of political content too and comparing that with how the context has affected the film adaptations and stuff will be interesting i think! sweet, this is so nice of you and will be so helpful thanks again!!

bro, if you're on the hunt for sources, i might be able to help you out?? UCR has an extensive superhero and sci-fi collection; while idk if it'll be current enough for ca:cw *specifically,* i know we do have cap-related work, and probably others if i dig around long enough.

omg dude that would actually be super helpful!! yeah thats my main problem, just that both bvs and cacw are too new, but if you could possibly find someone on cap2 or even the netflix daredevil show that would be so helpful!

storm of swords! ...but also i'm v biased bc it's my favourite of the series so far and it's also the only one i've read lmao

pls okay also to consider is that i already own storm of swords BUT the point about the martian is a good one re: it being only one book vs the others being in series 

i’m gonna be buying both the martian and trc bc i tend to (accidentally) destroy books when i read them lmao
