honestly thank u so much for blogging about sapphic books because i havent been able to get past the first few chapters of anything that wasnt fic since 2013 but i started reading 'when women were warriors' last night and i've just finished the first book already and just thank you again for blogging about these books because this was the first time i haven't been able to put down a book for a Very long time

aw oh my god thank you for telling me this! i’m so glad to be sharing these books cause i know how niche the genre is i was shocked when i found out just how many great, different lesbian books there are out there and here on tumblr people usually recommend the same few YA ones every time or just stick to fanfiction

i hadn’t been reading books in so long as well so i totally get what you’re feeling i honestly couldn’t even name my favorite book anymore before i got into lesbian fiction last year and now i’ve been devouring one after the other <3

the sun broke over the horizon, a split shot of bright light as it rose further into the sky, casting a warm tinge over everything it touched. a warm breeze sent waves through the grass, tickling her ankles where she stood, barefoot, watching the early morning birds rise and take flight, their song an orchestra to her ears. a family of grebes wade out into the fresh water, their chicks following anxiously behind, while a kingfisher eyes the unsuspecting fish. bees hum in and out of the wild flowers, scattered over the hillside like sugar over a pastry. she leans down and plucks one, a small, shy specimen, places it behind her ear and smiles.
