“It’s okay,” says Aaron, and words feel funny in his mouth these days. “Don’t worry……It was the hilt.” He tries to smile, only it doesn’t quite work. Instead, he wobbles dangerously. The floor seems really close and also really far away right now, so he tries to concentrate on leaning the other way. He registers the knife sink into his ear, and he blinks. Aaron thinks he should maybe be screaming right now. He opens his mouth, but nothing quite has the energy to come out.

What made you ship it?

I LOVE IT WHEN THEY TRY TO KILL EACH OTHER. if there were ever a ship for this its this one. in my ideal aaronriko AU aaron literally gets assigned to kill riko and then they end up on the run from the moriyamas and the hatfords together. Long story. but yeah i love it when they fuck each other (up)

What are your favorite things about the ship?

intimacy but it's evil. first kiss outside a burning building, third base after committing triple homicide, etc etc. i think they go from killing each other to killing for each other and it's messy and terrible and toxic and its GREAT

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

i think you and me are 2 of the 4? people who ship it. so. no lol

Aaronriko au where Riko was raised his whole life to be a highly skilled, top of the line assassin, meanwhile Aaron became a hitman because Andrew offered to train him for the job after his mother died and (he felt like) he had no other choice. Andrew retires a few years later, but Aaron continues, because his plans to become a doctor are ruined, the guilt of murdering people and not feeling bad about it is consuming him, and—it's something to do. And he becomes unreasonably good at it.

Riko hates Aaron because, despite having far less training, and being much less grateful than Riko, he's better at killing. Which is like. What Riko has trained his whole life to do.
