FATHERHOOD

If God . . is indifferent to the world's pain, why sent He those who might minister to its needs? . . If these come not from God, then whence their power? They were Supermen among you and performed superhuman tasks. These were the Prophets, the Teachers, the Philosophers. There are others. There are those who have given music to the world, and song and epic, great books, great pictures. Whence their inspiration, if not from God? Shall you say the amœba can develop unaided into a mind productive of a symphony? As the Life-Force operates within matter, as the mind functions within the body, so the Unseen, or Spiritual, manifests within that which is visible and material. Thus, is the Fatherhood of God manifest within our lives, the communion of Spirit and the Ministry of Angels. . . (T)he power of God descends . . through the medium of those incarnate minds who . . are able to inspire carnate people through the affinities of physical intelligence.

FATHER

. . (Y)ou make the individual spirit, cumbered by the dire limitations of the body, born perhaps into the most adverse of circumstances, responsible in a few infinitesimally short years of earth-life for all that shall befall him throughout uncounted aeons of eternity and beyond the limits of all possible conception of space or time. Oh, little children, is God so unjust? . . (Y)ou call Him "Loving Father". . . (W)ould an earthly father say to his little child: "I leave you in this dim room one minute of time. If for this minute you are good you shall come with me and be happy always, but if you displease me, I will lock you in the dark cellar for all your life"? Unthinkable. . . A man acting so would be arrested as a maniac, - yet thus have you thought of God.

FALL

. . (N)ew People appeared upon the earth, the Atlantean, or first True Men. These were the sons of Adam, the scions of the Adamic Race. The fatherhood of Adam gave to the race of Atlanteans an intellect far surpassing the normal intelligence of the pristine man . . and they had known within the carnate mind the state of Purity. . . Their fall was not as the primordial Fall of the Hosts of Lucifer. In that day, primordial Man was newly evolved. . . Adam was a man, and his race were the children of a new Order of existence. His fall was relatively superficial in character, because the perversion penetrated no deeper than the astral body whose juices he had profaned. His loss, therefore, was not a loss of consciousness, but the suspension of the faculties of the psychic nature. He no longer beheld the Gods Who had walked with him in the Garden. They became a memory, a vague recollection, brought from the mental body into the brain of incarnation.

FAITH

Unto this last have I come unto you that your mind might be fed with the eternal Essences of the Spirit, that in you the heavenly Seed might grow and blossom in the garden of the earth. For, the evolution of your terrene elements is a process within the Cycles of Destiny, and the soul of man who has dwelt hitherto within a blind consciousness has evolved a brain which may assimilate cosmic knowledge. Man would walk by sight where once he walked by faith. A retrogressive movement, think you, but I tell you that the faith within his consciousness has opened his eyes, that he may see. The faculty of Faith is the ability to allow the knowledge within the subconsciousness to function through the normal mental processes. That which is within a man's mind may use the physical brain as a medium of expression as well as that which reaches it through the channels of the senses.

EXPERIENCE

. . (T)he double function of all the intermediate planes of Man's primary composition . . is, first, to insulate the current flowing from the Central Ego or Soul of Life, the Life-Core within him, so that this Force, greatly moderated, shall be manifest even in his physical body; and, conversely, to draw upon all conditions of planetary life and to register every shade of experience undergone in the course of incarnation and to assimilate these, passing them back in an ever sublimated state to the central Source which alone is Immortal. This ebb and flow between Wisdom and Experience is the ulterior Principle underlying the whole Nature of Man and the fruition of his Destiny. • . . Life . . has conveyed to matter a controlling intelligence, and received from matter the faculty of Experience. Here is . . Intelligence emanating from God, and returning . . replete with that faculty of knowledge which is man's prerogative.

EXAMPLE

. . The Being nearest to God Himself assumed a body of the lowest form of being known to you - physical Matter. He took our nature upon Him. If a man took a thick casing of solid lead, studded with nails piercing inward and lived within it, it would offer no analogy to the Incarnation of the Christ. Others have followed that Example, both before and after Calvary, and have borne a body of flesh that the world might have Light. There are many who come, not into the world, but to the borderlands of earth, to aid those still incarnate and to give inspiration and wisdom. Again, you expect so much we cannot give you, and for this same reason. We have taken somewhat of your nature upon us, and we cannot function in it with any more freedom than you would function in a leaden case.

EVOLUTION

. . (T)he theory of Evolution . . is true in part only. The intelligence of the animal never developed into a human intelligence. The latter is a direct radiation of the Divine, whilst animals, flowers, nature-spirits and minerals belong to subsidiary lines of evolution, and are the work of the Creative Lords. . . All Life is the outpouring of the Celestial Energy, and is therefore the creation of God . . revealed in varying aspects, and these diverse forms of life are not to be confounded. The consciousness of a monkey never developed into the intelligence of a man. Man's intelligence was evolving before animal life . . appeared upon the Earth planet. The acquisition of a material body by a protoplasmic organism enabled the human ego to incarnate upon a new plane, and experience a new phase of existence. . . (T)he First Man . . was not the first human Soul; these had existed already.

ETERNITY

. . (E)manations of a man's mind are his treasures, and his mind shall inevitably seek them, for where his treasure is, there shall his mind be. Inevitably . . are some who on passing from earth, are fated to dwell awhile amid the ghostly prisons of their lascivious desires . . . Theirs is the task to transmuted them in the crucible. . . Again, Thoughts there are which rise upward ever toward the Very Throne of God. . . (S)elfless love . . rises so, because, being in harmony with the Creative Stream of Love, it flows with it into the Infinite. Many who have much to suffer on the borderlands of Eternity, have yet very beautiful palaces of their own construction awaiting them. . . Nothing is lost, O child of earth, nothing that has anything in it of beauty or of purity or of Love withal. • Thought . . seeks its own affinities. . .
