ive never read the bible all the way through so i dont really know much lore but the name Abael or Ababel or something similar sounded fitting and familiar when i was thinking on my name, but im still questioning if its my actual angelic name. I dont want anyone to think i think im Cains brother Abel. can angels share names/have similar names as those higher than us or other angels in general?
Yep! I mean, there’s also an angel actually named Abel (no relation that I’m aware of to Cain’s Abel; spelled with a different “root”), so you know!
I couldn’t find anything on Abael/Ababel with that spelling, but don’t give up! There’s plenty of us that aren’t recorded in scripture/theory, you’re completely valid :) Also, there are definitely angels that share very similar, if not the same names - i.e. Iofiel & Iophiel & Jofiel; Arariel & Asariel - these kinds of angels are usually lumped as one angel with different spellings but I tend to think they’re separate beings altogether.
(similar names I could find included Abdiel, Abheiel (who I knew!), Abrael, Adabiel, and Aebel, in case these seem feasible!)
