Meet the Third Hero, Abaddon. The first two heroes were pulled directly into the hotel he has made his home. From there, the first Elsewhere was discovered as the two others attempted to return home. Abaddon doesn't have a fixed motivation. If you asked, he'd tell you his goal is to just watch the heroes antics and try to have fun, since his home is right above.
That was the only thought going through Ben's head
Well, actually no, it wasn't. There were multiple thoughts racing through his head at the moment but that was the most prominent one
He, Esther, and abaddon were currently trekking through the woods. The light of the full moon illuminating the path enough for them to see
Ben was wearing an old T-shirt, sweatpants, and his sneakers. Esther had her signature green coat thrown over her pajamas and her boots on. And abaddon was wearing, well, what he always wore
"We've been walking for almost an hour and i still don't see what you guys are looking for out here" ben said, exhaustion (both physical and mental) seeping into his tone
"I told you" Esther said, a bit frustrated "when me and abaddon were mushroom hunting, I saw a weird thing in the ground somewhere around here and when I asked him about it, he said he didn't recognize it!" She through her hands upwards as if to emphasize her point
Abaddon nodded at her statement "I've walked these grounds a hundred times over. If there is something I haven't seen before, it wasn't there before" he said definitively
Ben wasn't convinced. Taking into consideration that abaddon had the memory of a senile goldfish, it was entirely possible that he had either just missed it or had seen it and forgotten about it. And ben told them both as Much! (Y'know, except for the goldfish part)
Esther groaned "why'd you insist on coming along with us if your just gonna complain the whole time?"
It wasn't like he wanted to! When he got up for a glass of water and saw Esther and abaddon sneaking out the front door, he knew he had to get involved and talk them out of whatever they were about to do. It was basically one of the main criterias of being an older brother!
Unfortunately, so is following them when the attempt to talk them out of doing something stupid doesn't work..
Just as ben was about to retort, his foot slipped!
"Ah!"

and now he was falling
Well, not really falling?
Sliding?
He was sliding down a small tunnel, the hard stone walls bumping and jabbing him as he went
Ben shielded his face with his arms, praying that it would end soon
And it did
Eventually he stopped, as he was flat on his back, trying desperately to catch his breath, he noticed the ground underneath him was softer
It definitely wasn't rock and it didn't quite feel like dirt. It felt like... sand?
As ben opened his eyes and sat up, he was met with an incredible sight!
He was in an underground cave! The walls were curved, like an inverted bowl, that lead up to a large opening in the ceiling that let light in
And directly under it was a big pool of water that shone under moonlight
It was amazing!
It was beautiful
It was... magi-
"Ben!"
At the sound of his name, the boy startled and looked back up the tunnel "I'm here!"
"Can you climb up?"
As He tried to, he immediately slid back down "no, it's too steep!"
He heard a groan and then-
"Oof!"
Ben wheezed out as Esther collided with him, knocking the air out of his lungs
"Why did you come down?! Now we're both stuck!" Ben exclaimed,
Esther was none too worried by this though "relaaax" she drew out as she waved her hand dismissively "abaddon's still up there! He can get us out, I already told him not to come-"
Esther was cut off by the sound of a faint screaming that was steadily growing louder as-
Abaddon smashed up against her back
"-down" the ginger finished her sentence
Ben dragged his hands down his face as the problem worsend
"OkaynevermindNEWPLAN!" Esther shot up and walked over to the water source "this thing is probably some sorta opening, which means theres somewhere for water to get in! and for us-" she gestured to the boy the demon and herself "-to get out"
Ben was skeptical "if there is an opening, how will we know if we can fit through it?"
Esther hummed in thought "well, one of us could swim down and check" she eyed abaddon pointedly "preferably, someone who doesn't need to breathe?"
The demon rolled his eyes but ultimately got up and went into the water, as his ebony hair disappeared beneath the blue, Esther went and sat next to her brother
And now we wait

Abaddon had only been gone for about 7 minutes but every second of it felt agonizingly slow
Finally, as his ruby eyes breached the surface, they immediately went over to him. Nervous of what he'd tell them
There had to be something down there if he was gone for that long, right?
"Well, what'd you see?" Ben asked anxiously
"There is a tunnel leading to the lake" abaddon replied monotonous, wet hair sticking to his face "you will be able to hold your breathes long enough to swim through"
While ben was apprehensive, Esther eagerly leaped into the water! Going under for a second and coming up, shooting water from her mouth like a fountain.
Ugh... Gross..
"I don't know" ben rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly "I'm not sure if I can hold my breath for that long"
Abaddon's brows furrowed "the alternative is to stay here until you die of starvation" he said flatly
Ben grimaced at that, he begrudgingly climbed into the water

Just as they were about to duck under, Esther looked up through the opening above and saw the moon! Silver and Shimmering in sky
It was so beautiful, almost as if the glistening light was cascading down into the pool with them
Actually, as she looked closer at it, the light was flowing down on to them
"Uh, guys?" Ben said nervously, drawing they're attention to they're surroundings
The water, while still cool, began bubbling as though it was a bowling pot!
Even abaddon was confounded!
As the trio began to splash in panic, the spectacle was over as quickly as it began
The water had settled and the shimmer had gone
While still speechless and in shock, the three looked at each and wordlessly communicated what they were all thinking
We need to leave. Now.
They inhaled as much as they're longs could hold and dove under the water
~★———♥︎——–★~
The trio breathed out sighs of relief as they finally rose above the water and swam to shore
While Esther and ben normally liked swimming, the burning in they're lungs and the dark sky was reminding them of when they'd almost been drowned by the Assyrian demons. It was painfully similar
They wanted out of the water as soon as possible
they dragged themselves onto the sand, turning over onto they're backs as they catched they're breath, looking up at the night sky
The only sound being they're soft panting and the chirps of crickets
...
"We can't tell mom or uncle Nathan about this"
"Agreed"
"Yes"

Ben walked into the bathroom and flicked the light on, the morning sun streaming through the window as he waited for the bath to fill
Thankfully he, Esther, and abaddon had managed to keep the... events of last night from being found out
Ben had washed they're clothes of the sand and lake water, Esther had helped them move with cat like precision as to not wake anyone up, and abaddon had kept watch and made sure none of the ghosts spotted them and told on them
As he poured bubble bath in the water, he climbed in
The warm water felt good on the bruises he acquired from the cave slide
Really good
His skin tingled and his breathing slowed
This was the best bath he'd ever had! It was like he was melting into the water!
Then something felt... different?
His body felt like it had... changed somehow
He opened his eyes and-
almost fainted
~★———♥︎———★~
Esther was almost impressed they had gotten away with what happened last night scot free
She was currently trying to replicate a sigil abaddon had taught her, goldfish crackers to the left of her and a glass of water to the right
She was a little worried when her mom had asked why abaddon's hair was damp, but when he'd just said he went in the lake last night (conveniently leaving out the cave and her & Ben's inclusion) as her mom just sighed and moved on, she relaxed
Dang it she thought too wide as she erased her mistake
She tried again
Curved Wrong
Again
Too straight
As Esther forcefully rubbed the eraser of pencil on the paper, her elbow collided with water glass! Spilling onto her hand, her desk, and a part of her notebook
Esther gasped and then growled in frustration as she picked up the book and then started wiping the desktop with her sleeve to hastily dry it
And immediately regretted it
The wetness on her skin and what had absorbed into her sleeve was making her skin itch
Actually, it was more like... tingling?
As the strange sensation spread, Esther could feel herself falling over!
"Ugh!"
As her back hit the hardwood, she propped herself up on her elbows to see what had-
...
Holy. Shit.

Abaddon allowed his thoughts to drift as the washing machine filled up
He knew that cave wasn't there before. He just knew it.
Stranger things had happened at the site of the Undervale, it wasn't entirely out of the question that a cave had just appeared
But why?
And the water, bubbling and glowing like that, It was most likely caused by the full moon but just what did it do?
He can still feel the bubbles on his skin
The strange tingling
Something was happening! He could feel it!
His body felt strange, as if it was-
growing?
He pushed the door of the machine open, sending water everywhere as he flopped onto the tile floor
He looked to see what had happened to him and-
...
By lucifer's talons

A Tail
A Fish Tail
A Scaly, Slightly Slimey, Fish Tail
Longer then they're torsos, glistening in the light
While a plethora of different thoughts were all flying through they're heads, they all came to the same conclusion on what to do
