This is a tough one because I think that Jun’s struggle between Galawain and Wael in the original PoE means she could easily fall one of two different ways, but ultimately:

🍓 for Trinne?

I’m.... struggling to think of something interesting I haven’t already shared about my most loquacious child. xD

Oooh. Here we go, fun thing from pre-tumblr(so anyone who knows Trinne from dA has already heard this, but I’m pretty sure I haven’t talked abut it here?)

She had this teacher, when she was about fifteen, terribly boring and strict woman. Managed to make history--one of Trinne favorite things to learn--no fun at all, seemed to have it in for Trinne specifically bc she didn’t like her attitude or something. (tbf 15 yo Trinne was a TROUBLEMAKER, so the ire wasn’t entirely undeserved)  This instructor also had extremely long blonde hair, of which she was incredibly vain.

Trinne finally hit her limit on the day this teacher humiliated her for daydreaming in class, and then kicked her out for sassing back. (Giving a mischievous, vengeance-minded 15 year old an entire free period to skulk around the tower is not a good move, ma’am) She was planning on carrying out her revenge solo, but Jowan caught her about halfway through and--as usual--wound up playing lookout while Trinne snuck into the teachers’ quarters and dumped elderberry juice in the instructor’s shampoo. 

Yeah. It turned her hair bright reddish-pink, she knew exactly who was responsible, and Trinne(and Jowan) got in really big trouble. Trinne’s victorious little smirk the whole time the teacher was ranting to Irving about her probably didn’t help much. In her opinion it was worth it, though she did apologize to Jowan for getting him in trouble. (He’s used to it; even if this does turn out to be one of the biggest/most severe times Trinne gets him in trouble)

Makali would give Rhos some little figurines and runestones from the ruins they explore!

Thank you! Rhos would enjoy those very much; she’d carefully copy the runes into her notebook and see if she could cross-reference them with any in there she’s already deciphered. And she’d give Makali a big bottle of whatever rum her inquiries to the rest of the Deck’s sailors recommend as a quality worthy of celebratory exchanges, and a map with the sites they’ve explored marked, ready for their future expeditions to be added!

“Galawain had a need. I did not. Would you ask the same question of Ondra? Of Abydon?”

“But- I… You made me! And I was in the one place kith and gods might speak! Why didn’t you answer me?!”

“Oh, Watcher. What would you have me say? You know what you are. You, out of all of Eora, have seen beyond our myths, to our true history. You are called our children because it is a useful lie, and because it makes convenient shorthand for something far more complex. That some of us choose to indulge this lie more than others does not make it less of one.”

“I… “

“You are not a child, Elehal. Would you have me treat you like one?”

“No! But- Then- … Look at me! How am I supposed to live in the world like this and believe you want nothing to do with me? How- I have your face, how could I – How…  Don’t you want me?”

No one gets to have a simple relationship with their family in Pillars, Elehal. Sorry!

If we’re still talking romances, I have an elven priestess from a fantasy ttrpg who was secretly part of a cult. She ended up romancing the NPC cult leader and now they run the cult together XD

Damn, good for her... I... guess? :’D May they not end the world with their cult!

35. what is the most important relationship in OC’s life?

this is so fucking sad but i literally couldn’t tell you. her and adam aren’t together yet, so it isn’t him — though it could be, further down the line! — and it definitely can’t be rebecca. and while june thinks about her father a lot and does sort of cling to his memory, it isn’t enough to define her. maybe tina ??? because tina sort of helped june get more comfortable in her job / where she is now, but that’s still kinda... iffy

37. how has OC been affected by their family relationships?

[singing] abandonment issues !!!!! nah but for real june has the worst abandonment issues in the world bcos rebecca was never around shdhskdk. june’s grandparents (on either side) aren’t around, her aunt isn’t around, her dad’s dead— rebecca was the only person she had, and she fucked up so fucking BADLY. 

june’s more rebellious behaviour — the behaviour that led to her joining the force in the first place — was caused by her wanting her mom’s attention. june’s more out-there behaviour — class clown, chatterbox, etc — is partly her adhd, yes, but also it was a cry for attention that was never answered. june’s arguably been molded entirely by her family relationships — with some other issues outside of those, specifically wrt what happened to her in college — and imma keep it real with u chief, it aint working out well for her
