Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.

I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.

I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'

#the hobbit is one of the books that inspired me to start writing as a youngling #I was... 4th or 5th grade the first time I read it I think? somewhere in the 9-12 range #also the idea that 310 pages is too long of a book for a kid? lmao #definitely remember getting books from the library at 10/11 years old complaining they were only 400 pages long #because I could easily finish that in a day or 2 unless I rationed it until my next library day #hmm now that I'm on the subject I should get my daughter a copy of the hobbit I think she'd enjoy it <3

I picked N for the reasons of:

N was always the one that had to deal with the fall out of M’s one night stands and flings. Seeing M spending time with the same person, seeing how they go out of their way for them, and how they care for them is heartwarming for N to witness

In B3, when M and the MC separate at the first crime scene, N gives M a smile and says that they’re going to enjoy watching them figure it out

At the end of B3, BFF!N (i know this doesn’t assume a BFF but I think it speaks to the first point here), M says something about being a mistake and N says that they’re never a mistake

#my personal opinion is that f ships it more but n is more invested #or like. f ships them in a little brother way and n ships them in a big sister way #I wish I know how to articulate it better than that but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, I just played Unpacking for the first time!

Having managed to stay spoiler-free the whole time, I was woefully unprepared for Minimalist Coffee Boyfriend and how much I fucking hate him.

The funny thing is, the heinous shit with the diploma was the last thing I noticed. When it didn't fit on any walls in the bedroom, I simply left it on the bed and decided to come back to it once everything else was unpacked. Nevertheless, I despised Minimalist Coffee Boyfriend from the get-go because the first thing I noticed was that he had made ZERO accommodations for the MC. No shelves cleared off for her, closet still disorganized, no space allotted for her personal items in the bathroom, heavy indicators that he can't cook to save his life...

...and then I discovered the only place I could put her diploma was under the goddamned bed and I swear, I have never hated a faceless antagonist more in my life.

To hell with Minimalist Coffee Boyfriend. I hope his rent skyrocketed and he had to sell all his sleek, pretentious crap.
