Abu Fanous is a character/demon from arabic folklore. He lures people who get lost in the desert to the lights so they feel like there's someone out there who can help them, but no, he misleads people with the moving lanterns just for the people to notice the lanterns disappeared and they will too. The entity himself doesn't kill people, he rather lures them to their doom. He doesn't show by himself, he doesn't show his true form. Abu Fanous can be translated as "father of the lantern" or "father of the light".
This is my Abu Fanous OC, called Abaraz
Abaraz is Abu Fanous from Saudi Arabia. He can conjure lanterns with a snap of fingers (more like claws). Abaraz is 7'2 (2,18 m) tall and has black claws, his body covered in bandages, hiding them with a thobe. His eyes are ruby red. Lantern, which is his head, actually isn't connected to a neck. It's just laying/levitating there on the top of the thobe. Also I have to mention that he can levitate with his whole body as well.
That one horror Roblox game literally helped me to find out about Abu Fanous' existence (or does he exist? Or is he a fiction?)
