For your 3x4x5 March prompt event :D!! I have some fluff prompts to offer that I compiled based on prompts I found online (doing a 1min search) and then added more ideas to all of them to make them potentially more specific or inspiring (ofc none of those need to be included, I'm just brainstorming publicly rn):

"Date" at the lowest-rating restaurant in town.

One character might be very enthusiastic about sharing the allegedly great food while the other might be skeptical

Neither might want to go but are forced to due to circumstances

One character might have lost a bet and is now forced to go there but the other one might join out of sympathy

Gossip/Dying to spill the tea

One character has learned about something and desperately wants to tell the other

Something might keep them from being able to do so, so they get really giddy/antsy about it

The other suspects something's up OR the character with the gossip may have already told them they have something to share

Preparing a meal/getting food for someone

Could be both actively cooking or getting take-out

Could be the other character's favourite food

Could be ordered from a distance as a surprise

Could be personally delivered (e.g. to work or their home)

The reason could be, for example, caring about an exhausted character, wanting to treat a character for no special reason, wanting to treat a character for a special reason such as a birthday, a promotion, some other type of success, something else to celebrate

Sunset/Sunrise watching

Either just one of them at first, and it inspires thoughts or intentions on their end

Maybe both watch individually

Maybe both watch together due to unprecedented circumstances

Maybe something between them happens first and the story ends with one of them (or both of them) watching and reflecting

Roadtrip

Might come with a schedule and a planned end but the characters want it to last longer

Possibly without admitting so

This might lead to detours to look at random things that aren't actually interesting to either of them, looking at maps/figuring out ways, "accidentally" missed road exits, etc

Maybe something on the roadtrip happened for them to want to prolong it without wanting to admit it

Maybe they DO admit it! Time for heartfelt conversations (maybe during a nightly return trip?)

Also maybe the car is a rental and absolute shit and they have to make do, and the fact that it's an amazing despite that says so much about them

This is funny cause in the last one I HC'd that Mulder has some weird food habits. Man can't stock a fridge to save his life and he's gotta survive on something. I feel like some of his travel foods horrify Scully and he's supremely insistent that no--you've gotta try it, yeah it looks bad but it tastes good!

Scully: 😺 An animal related headcanon

Between her adoption of pets, her behavior around weird creatures, her lack of fear about bugs...I feel like she goes kinda ham for odd animals. She might secretly want a kind of strange pet that she wouldn't actually get, she'd like the zoo/aquarium. She humors Mulder on watching documentaries but is quietly like "I already know all this about x creature."

Skinner: 👽 A headcanon about a weird quirk of theirs

I get the vibe that my man Walter is into some weird movies. Some odd experimental indy films that are just wrapped in six layers of metaphor and deep fried in melancholy. But maybe he hate-watches them.

Krycek: ❤️‍🔥 A romantic headcanon

Oh, Krycek. He's the "gay but homophobic" post. That dude is so repressed and angry about so much. Does he have a humiliation kink? Does he just love destruction? I do. I've moved around a good bit, so no matter what city I'm in, there's people I'm close with that I'm away from. I have an ex I miss sometimes. Often it's just missing that we were also good friends. Sometimes it's missing what we had.

I do!

53. Is Christmas stressful?

Yes and no. My dad is Christian™--I am not religious. My family does celebrate Christmas, and it's always a bit of a loaded holiday. I'm not sure if I'll see family for it this year, I'll probably be working. The actual holiday means nothing to me but I do like gift-exchanges and good food. I love getting gifts for people, so the last few years of not really being able to save money has made the thing I LIKE about Christmas not as good. I do like spending time with my sisters. The only time I saw any family in the first year of COVID we stood around a park in the snow in our masks and swapped gifts. Didn't chance hugs or being indoors and that was hard, but getting to see everyone was really nice.
