“Lauren! Earth to Lauren?”

Jez eventually caught up to the girl, pulling her earbuds out with a shrug and an expectant look. Wondering if she had purposefully stood him up or if she had simply forgotten (likely) that the two were supposed to start rehearsing fifteen minutes ago.

           Then again, Woof’s ability to tell how people were feeling was about                as good as his ability to know when to stay quiet - in that it varied but                was usually less than accurate. Still, he meant the statement more as                 a way of questioning whether the girl was alright and less of a way that                made it seem like he had a love for pointing out people’s facial expressions.

“Yes I’m sure, I don’t feel right about leaving her. Look, you guys go have fun, I’m staying with Lauren.” 

Jez just didn’t feel right, leaving his friend on her own right after a break up. He could tell the moment he met him that Danny was a ladies man, and so he wasn’t so surprised to see him cozying up to Claudine so soon after breaking up with Lauren. She was making the right choice by not going out with the others tonight - unless she wanted to be face on to the hot new BH couple, which he sincerely doubted. He was supposed to be going too, but as the taxi honked from outside the student’s house, he took a glance up the stairs towards Lauren’s bedroom, deciding against it. She needed a friend tonight - whether she realised it right now or not. 

As the others left, the blonde grabbed his phone, ordering enough pizza for the both of them before heading upstairs, gingerly knocking on Lauren’s door and opening it with a little-too-optimistic grin. “Surprise! Your date for tonight has arrived, babes. Pizza’s on it’s way and we have a whole house to ourselves to do whatever you want...Can I come in?”

         “L, look what I found in the props cupboard.                                       It’s so me, right?”
