If I were asked to name the three most unpopular comics to describe Wildstorm, I would choose Matador, Ocean, A God Somewhere. Because there is no thing more dangerous than having confidence in understanding a world that has not become yours yet. As a fan of Danger Girl, reading various Swimsuit Specials, and even spending time with the less-loud Crimson, you inevitably fall into the trap of this mysterious word, an atmosphere. Of course, most of the titles here really do fall into the multidimensional reality of WildCats. That is, they remain within their own genre, constantly interacting with an incalculable number of worlds that are so similar in style.

I'm not saying that DV8 copies Gen 13, but we see a clear close concept in the types of characters, the plot twists, and the overall dynamics of the story. Since these are large narratives that span a short period of time, we tend to bring them together as a faceless whole. And only when we delve deeper into the meaning of each team, we'll begin to see the truly significant differences and the vast history behind them. As if the unique worlds of Batman, Superman, Green Lantern had been turned upside down. Good content with the same wrapper.

The format of action figures dictates the Wildstorm's role. They don't get a peaceful and long life, because for series like EverQuest and ThunderCats, this format is their life. Do you understand what I'm saying? In order to change the perception of a series, the series itself must be predisposed to changing its own essence. Let's take a look at Gen 13, my my beloved.

In 2002, they changed the team members. In fact, it's a semi-sequel, a semi-reboot, where the inner demons and the sweet sides of teenage relationships come to the forefront. It's always been the core, so they just found a fresh language that's more appealing to modern readers and the spirit of a slow-paced thriller. I think the "softness" was also added by the old chips. There are still very hot panels, a lot of action, an emphasis on humor. By removing all links to other series, 2002 allowed 2006 to start the epic from scratch. Formally, each volume here (I count the first two as one) is independent. But for the overall story, the global formation of images, Gen has done an impressive job. The next step was to fully integrate our team into the main DC in the Supergirl New 52, which unfortunately did not happen. What does it show us?

Many parts of Wildstorm are so difficult to return to because they don't have time to complete a cycle outside of individual characters. It's not enough to just bring back a guy and give him the same story. The unfortunate "atmosphere", the series' DNA, is being rebuilt along with it. If you do it abruptly, through crossovers, other worlds, in a new teams, you won't break the chain because the narrative logic remains the same. For some guys, it will make sense, because their story requires blood and visual oddities. You can put his approach against DC idols, and it's really cool. They're doing it with Zealot right now, and I don't believe you don't like it. But as you see, it's a big world.

Wildstorm is born from Chaos. To capture its atmosphere is to understand the Order in which it will feel comfortable.
