I did it!  I signed up for the Pixie Dust Challenge.  My first half marathon.  I'm terrified!

What was that thing about someone following us around knocking junk food out of our hands? Yeah, I might need that. I've been absolutely awful the last couple of weeks, and as a reward I gained 5 pounds. Ugh, I just have no motivation!! I thought the news that Chris Evans was coming to Salt Lake Comic Con would help light a fire under my ass, but clearly it hasn't. And now that chances of me getting a ticket for his photo op is feeling slimmer and slimmer I'm thinking that all I've done is gain weight and spend money I had set aside for my trip to the UK next year. I'm gonna try really hard today, just cross your fingers for me that I'll manage to get a photo op ticket.

In case you didn’t see my earlier post:

CHRIS EVANS IS COMING TO SALT LAKE COMIC CON!!!! In sight of this awesome, unexpected news, I’m really gonna have to stay on track with my healthy/weight loss program. I have 69 days until comic con comes around, I’m hoping that things will go nicely and I can lose around 20 between now and then. Which means I have to keep up with my daily workouts! I would hate to end up with a photo op that I don’t like because of my weight like I did with this last Xenacon, but I’m positive that with the Tracy Anderson program and eating healthy that I’ll be happy with my picture! Seriously, this is great motivation for me!!!

Success!!!!!!!!

Okay, so this morning didn't exactly go as planned, but I am so tired of saying "I'll eat healthy tomorrow" and "I'll workout tomorrow", so I got ready for work real fast, fixed myself a protein shake, grabbed a Belvita breakfast cookie and headed for work. I have to say, I did really good at work, a couple of people offered me some not so healthy snacks that would have been REALLY easy to say yes to, but I resisted. I was so happy when I got off work early, because it meant that I had time to not only run a couple of errands, but I'd be able to get a work out in, AND I DID!!!! I went for a 45 minute walk, which amounted to about 2 miles. I was feeling really good (even ran a little!) and could have done more, but I was racing the setting sun. After I got home I did day one of the Tracy Andersen method workout. I've done them before (only got to like day 35 out of 90, but this time I'll do them all!), and I really like them, except for the leg work, it's killer. Like seriously, I'd rather do burpees, but I did as much of the leg work as I could! Right now I'm having a nice high protein snack before I head to bed. I feel like day one has been great, and I'm gonna work on making the rest of the week great too!
