...It’s time for you to read my preview of The Muppets tonight!
Within the first few minutes, the Muppets hit all the right notes. I’ve been a big fan of Jim Henson’s The Muppets. I can remember the first time I watched them, I’ve loved all of their movies, from the ones in Oz to Space and the many Christmas ones. Though it’s been many years, they’ve never lost what’s made them lovable to the audience and this show is proof of that. This show makes you smile, laugh and feel happy and that's the most important thing.
So let’s get into my preview. The entire episode was excellent, I enjoyed every single second and when the curtains closed, I was ready for more (I wish it was longer), thankfully I’ve been lucky enough to see the second episode.
“Pig Girls Don't Cry”, the pilot written by Bill Prady & Bob Kushell who are most notably known from their ties to The Big Bang Theory. The premiere is well written and brilliantly acted by Miss Piggy and co.
The first episode plays out as a workplace comedy, the only difference being that the scenes are filled with your favorite Muppets and occasional celebrity guest star. It follows the muppets individually at times and then as a group in their everyday lives which is really allows the audience to connect with each muppet, in case you already haven’t. Luckily the muppets have been introduced to audiences since the 1970s, I think, (way before my time) which means we already know who's the egotistical pig, the “one with the hat” and the guy with the long nose.
