Is that not the point of spring training though? Dude has 11 seasons under his belt, granted 10 of them are with the Angels but still there is that adjusting to new team makes etc. But I feel like spring training would be his adjustment period.
But adjustment shouldn’t affect his defense. It’s the same position as he was playing with the Angels. Dirt and grass is dirt and grass and the baseball is the same. I don’t think adjustment is the issue here.
