It was in the middle of 2015 when I came across a great calligraphy and lettering community here in Instagram. If I remember it right, my first time joining was something about autumn 🍂 and that’s around August. Since then, I met a lot of creative and talented people. Most of them are very thoughtful and generous in sharing their calligraphy and lettering journey. I will never forget how much I fangirled every time Sharisse(@piecescalligraphy), one of my fave calligraphers, would respond/comment at my works. Everyone is so encouraging and it helps a lot especially when you’re just starting. Encouragements and criticisms made a big impact on my calligraphy journey. So here I am again, catching up for this year’s round with a basic modern freehand calligraphy using a pencil. Best lesson I learned while learning calligraphy that relates to life is that it doesn’t become easy, you just get better. So keep practicing! Keep hustling!
