Lily: Why are you so bossy? Abdullah: Maybe it’s not so much that I’m bossy and more about the fact that you are wildly incompetent. Ever thought about that?

Lily: Why are you so bossy? Abdullah: Maybe it’s not so much that I’m bossy and more about the fact that you are wildly incompetent. Ever thought about that?
Abdullah: How do I look?
Dylan: Amazing. How do I look?
Abdullah: Normal. Ugly.
Dylan: Well I do the best with what I’ve got.
So I know that TMB isn't usually on people's "favorite games" list but something that I think is really interesting is how Abdullah, who throughout the game definitely seemed to have a bit of a misogynistic streak and was really hard on Lily, completely took the fall for her VERY SERIOUS crimes (like, y'know, attempted murder or reckless endangerment or whatever), thus giving her a second chance that he couldn't give himself.
I'm not trying to justify him or say that Lily shouldn't have gotten into a bit of trouble for being complicit in his plans, but it's just an interesting part of his character that ads depth that I don't think people talk about enough.
So I’m replaying Tomb of The Lost Queen again and I forgot how Abdullah accent’s sounds more of a mix between Italian and Russian which is odd 🤨
Also, I’m saying this since I’m an Arab myself but at least they didn’t give him the stereotypical accent.
Dylan: You know, Dr. Bakhoum, I can’t tell if you’re a genius or just incredibly arrogant.
Abdullah: On a good day, I’m both.
Abdullah [after trying to throw Jamila and Lily off the site]: I hope I won’t have to threaten you as well.
Nancy: Well, I think we’d BOTH find that embarrassing.
