How do I explain what tokens are to new players? My middle schoolers are having a rough time.

Sorry for the delay.
The best way to explain tokens is that they’re permanents that aren’t represented by cards. Everything on the battlefield needs to be represented by cards, so objects not represented by cards have to use tokens since they don’t have their own cards to be represented by.
What would you mechanically change about each color if you could?
Oh man, let’s see...
More frequent access to card draw for all colors. It’s great that certain colors are better at it, but the game is more fun when people have cards to play.
White - some access to counterspells! It’s an interesting control mechanic that blue shouldn’t only have
Red - More frequent indestructible removal and scaling answers for bigger things. It’s great that red is the best at early game, but it has very little recourse in general for the late, which can be less fun in multiplayer.

Bit of a Ruckus with Gremlins in the System

With the fact that there are gremlins rampant everywhere in this darn fair (and the occasional atog..... good gods I hope we don’t have a luhrgoyf tumble in....) We’ve decided that it would be best to hire a few more folks to help us with keeping this fair running!

Like myself (krazybomb) and yeens-human, they will be posting challenges for you all to submit cards and compete in, then they will judge them accordingly. We’re still going through some growing pains as we figure out a proper schedule (and as I’m falling behind due to other matters) but we will resume normal operations shortly!

With "The Scorpion God," "The Gitrog Monster," and previous cards like "The Unspeakable" and "The Mimeoplasm," will we see a trend going forwards of cards that use this naming convention for an alien or monstrous purpose?
