Gagosian’s Art Basel Hong Kong 2019 Online Viewing Room will be live from March 23 through March 31 at gagosianviewingroom.com. Alongside the presentation of works by several gallery artists at Art Basel Hong Kong, the Online Viewing Room will feature a single important painting by Albert Oehlen. This will be Gagosian’s third Online Viewing Room, following successful presentations during Art Basel and Frieze London in 2018, each of which included ten to twelve works and achieved millions of dollars in sales to collectors around the world. Informational texts and video on the soon-to-be-revealed Oehlen work will be a click away, in English and Chinese, and Gagosian staff will be available online twenty-four hours a day for live assistance. This online offering of a major painting by Oehlen—a work made at a pivotal moment in his trajectory as a painter—comes on the heels of the career-spanning survey Albert Oehlen: Cows by the Water­­ at Palazzo Grassi, Venice. The Art Basel Hong Kong Online Viewing Room will open at 12:00am on Saturday, March 23, in Hong Kong, and close at 11:59pm on Sunday, March 31, in Los Angeles and San Francisco (see below for dates and times in cities where Gagosian has gallery locations). Also during Art Basel Hong Kong, Gagosian is pleased to present a selection of limited-edition prints and photographs by gallery artists on the online art marketplace Ocula, in its first collaborative project with the site. First things first, I wanna comment how beautiful he is on these photos. He looks like an angel. Second, I love this interview, too. His answers really place him in a teenager-adult borderline. He’s the fine line that separates the two.

Would you like to say anything to people who have concerns similar to those you had in the past?

HUENINGKAI: If you feel stressed out, just stay true to your emotions. Smile when you want to smile, and cry when you want to cry. Then everything will be better. I also think it’s best to talk it over with someone. If you feel shy, you can still share your thoughts with them, just do it slowly.

I know this sounds crazy but I tend to avoid big dinners and crowds during a mega event like #ABHK. I prefer to meet many people at numerous small (sometimes very short) breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks or in this case, the one annual dinner in #HongKong that really cheers me up amidst all this chatter and noise.
