My Artist Statement
"Art" is not my hobby.
I do not paint to make myself feel better about my job. I do not sketch to fill free time. I do not create just because I happen to have crayons and scissors and glue.
I create because I must.
"Art" helps me sleep at night and wake up in the morning. It hurls me into turmoil and drags me back to the shore. It captures me and gives me freedom. It is the worst and the best thing that I comprehend and know of myself.
