Two weeks ago we mounted the one and only big event that we do every year- The Children's Hour Annual Benefit Lunch. This year was special for me because it was my last fundraiser. I was privileged to work with a hardworking and dynamic team. This year, we had the best turnout. We raised about PhP 5M, all seats sold out. A lot were saying that it was the best program flow as well. Seamless and well put together. Partners were happy, more kids will be happier. It was a gift to the children, the team, our donors and the gift I gave myself. The 2 hours of sleep the night before was well worth it. I made the best decision 4 years ago when I took the big leap from the corporate world to the Social Development sector. It was not an easy one to make (career change is scary folks!) plus I had to give up a lot of corporate perks. The transition was not easy but the journey shaped my character. Looking back, I knew God's hand was on my path. Tomorrow I start with a new adventure. It has been a wonderful four years of sweet adventure CH. I will always be proud and feel privileged to have been a part of the CH fambam.
