Today is the beginning of my creative endeavor into writing this blog. I was thinking what do I start out with? What story would I like to tell? How about let's start at the beginning, which may sound familiar to many of you who collect Vintage Fashion.
As long as I can remember I have collected Antique and Vintage items. I caught myself yearning for a different era..maybe a classic feel. Going back to the day's clothes were made in America, People dressed up just to go to the store, Women wore beautiful sometimes extravagant hats, gloves and patterns.
I must admit the hours of laying sprawled on my stomach gazing up from the carpet at classic television as a young girl, all focused on what they were wearing, from Grace Kelly to Fred Astaire, top hats and smart clean lines, sinuous dresses that fluttered across the screen giving hints of veiled sparkling light behind them. Silk stockings, gloves, hats, bows, lace and satin.. yes, this may have forged my passion for Vintage.
As I collected I studied. Learning about bygone fashions as my collection grew, I knew I wanted to turn this one Love into something I worked in. I want to inspire people to dress how they like. I want to imbue to Women of all ages to embrace your creative feminine. In this World that everybody try's desperately to fit in, my wish for you is to Stay Rare!
