"Yes, you're allowed near her. But please keep in mind that she's still in a lot of pain and she probably won't remember you." the minute those words left the doctor's lips, Romeo rose from his chair and practically ran to Eliza's room. These past few days had been awful and filled with the only thing he could do: wait. When he heard Eliza nearly died in a car crash, he thought someone was playing a sick joke on him at first... But they weren't. It was reality, and he couldn't do anything but hurry over to the hospital and wait for her to wake up. But now that that finally happened, the doctors told him that she probably wouldn't remember her, because she was most likely to have amnesia. Fucking concussions. He didn't even really know what happened to her. Apparently she wasn't the one driving, which made him even more angry. And sad. Romeo never believed in love, until this little redhead came along. She opened his eyes and his heart, but just for her. The moment he saw her in that hospital bed, with all the tubes and weird machines, he still thought she looked absolutely gorgeous. Romeo slowly walked over to her bed and carefully grabbed her hand. "Liz..? Do you remember me?"

Four long years had passed since Caroline had come home to visit. The first years of college she had constantly been flying back and forth between the two cities, but after ending things with her boyfriend she had decided there was really no reason for her to visit much. Her parents loved visiting her in Rhode Island, so on holidays it was them who came to her instead of the other way around. Yet, even after all the time of hiding out at college, Caroline had finally convinced herself that it was finally time to go home. Having arrived a few days earlier, she had spent most of her time hiding out in her parents home before she realized that she shouldn’t be hiding. Which led to her going to the coffee shop that had held so many memories before now. Standing at the counter as she overheard the chimes of the bells that hung on the door, Caroline glanced over her shoulders and immediately her eyes widened as she spotted the one person she had been hoping to avoid as long as possible. She quickly spun back around and handed the money to the guy at the register, “Come on, hurry up, I really need to go. Just hand me my coffee.”
