And because Ashton is a male omega, which is considered Even Worse because men are supposed to be Dominant and whatever else, it’s a lot of pressure to be under. So you can’t really blame Ashton for hating alphas and being sensitive when it comes to his omega status, since he’s had to deal with omegists and other ignorant folks for years now. And so he tries to overcompensate by being outgoing, leaderly, masculine, and all those other things that omegas aren’t supposed to be. WHICH MAKES IT PERFECT WHEN HE GETS WITH LUKE!! BECAUSE NEITHER OF THEM CONFORM TO THEIR STATUSES!! NOT REALLY!!! THEY BOTH DON’T FIT PERFECTLY INTO THESE LITTLE BOXES THEY’VE BEEN FORCED INTO AND SO THEY CAN RELATE TO EACH OTHER!!!! The difference is that Luke is privileged and doesn’t really know it but he learns, and Ashton learns to accept himself more and become more trusting of others!
