My dad is in a private prison in Texas, one which holds inmates subject to deportation. This prison has been devastatingly affected by covid and things have gone to shit with the freeze. Yesterday my dad told me that the prison has been releasing and DEPORTING inmates with covid, specifically those at higher risks of death who are coming close to the end of their sentence. His cellmate, who is in his 60s, has been sick for the past week and getting worse, receiving no treatment, although he was not subject to deportation, he was just informed he will be released and deported if he survives the next few days. He was scheduled to be released in Texas in October. 

Fuck the prison industrial complex. We need abolition now!
