My amazing Booklr Soulmate @abookishword sent me a Luna-themed Christmas package. I was so excited, I started tearing up while still having a huge grin on my face. There was a lot of love in that box, and my heart will forever be happy when I see these items.

How I Read Tag

I was tagged by the gorgeous @dangerousfiction! (Like a month ago. Sorry guys, I’m hella behind.)

1. How do you find out about new books to read? Tumblr, Amazon, and just skimming through books at the library or bookstores.

2. How did you get into reading? I’ve always loved reading, and before I could read, I liked being read to; if no books were available, I would tell or listen to stories.

3. How has your taste in books changed since you’ve gotten older? Hmm. I’m trying to open myself up to more non-fiction. And I figured out that sic-fi can be pretty fun. Otherwise, I’m pretty diverse, with the exception that I don’t care for the horror/thriller genre much.

4. How often do you buy books? Honestly, it depends on what else I have to take care of, for the most part. Last year I had like a night once a month where I would order several books. This year, I still have loads of unread books and I got some for my birthday, so I’m doing my best to stick to the library for a while. (Also I used to live closer to a thrift store with an awesome book selection. Now I live closer to bookstores and even second-hand bookstores, but that still adds up, so I’m waiting to just have a day where I can go and shop guilt-free.)

5. How did you get into booktubing? I don’t booktube! There have been a couple time I’ve thought I’d really enjoy it, but it would annoy me if I didn’t properly edit them, and I’m not sure that’s something I can focus on right now.

6. How do you react when you don’t like the ending of a book? Text @abookishword and be like WTF JUST HAPPENED I DIDN’T AGREE TO THIS I DO NOT ACCEPT. 

7. How often have you taken a sneaky look at the back page of a book to see if it’s a happy ending? I really don’t. If it’s a book that I think I would find interesting no matter how it ends, but I fear there might be a trigger, I will sometimes just ask someone to tell me. But I prefer the element of surprise.

. Fallen out of love: I’m not sure how to answer this honestly. I broke up with someone in the past year, but we were on our way to that for a long time, and we both felt better afterwards. And I’ve recently had someone fall out of love with me. I’m... working on it. Laughed until you cried: Yes
. Met someone who changed you: Probably. Found out who your true friends are: Not really. I think I’ve had a pretty good idea for a while. Found out someone was talking about you: Yes

 How many people of your FB friends do you know IRL: Like 95% of them? Probably more. Do you have any pets: 2 cats, and I live with a dog. Do you want to change your name: Sometimes it would be nice. Basically everyone born in the 80s and 90s in my country was named Jessica, and “yes” sounds way too much like “Jes.” But at the same time, it kind of feels like way too much hassle. What did you do for your last b-day party: I can’t remember right now. That seems sad, but I don’t think it was? What time did you wake up today: Like 11:00? I also went to bed at like 5:00. What were you doing at midnight last night: Reading, I believe. Name something you CANNOT wait for: To be caught up on my debt so I can have a book haul adventure.
