Can I Love
Can I love?
CAN-I-LOVE
Can I love without being judged by no man but by only my God above? Can I love?
Can I love to write late at night when everyone else have shut their eyes and I can hide in plain sight without someone insinuating that I was—crying? Can I love?
Can I love to keep my food from touching when I fix my plate without the redundant proclamation that “it all goes to the same place” statement be shouted amongst the towns people at dinner? Can I love?
Can I love that the idea that one thought about a thought can open up a vortex of endless thoughts that usually leads to innovative ideas and thoughts to add to our repertoire of things we think we thought of ourselves? Can I love?
Can I love a stranger? Not intimately but unconditionally simply because the difference between us and other mammals and animals is that we can take a second to realize that this guy next to me, if made a friend, can help me help someone else at which point a ripple effect of love occurs and makes everyone’s day just a little bit better? Can I love?
Can I love love some much that I let it consume me and smoothly moves through me to where my psyche barely keeps up?
Can I love?
Let me love. Let love live.
