The show I'm watching is showing an area in the Australian outback where they mine opals. It's so hot there that the miners make their homes underground - not just caves, either - nice houses, just underground. I missed what the narrator said these homes are called, but I caught the translation: he said it's an aboriginal word meaning "white man in a hole."

That was just too funny not to share.
