OK let me lay it all out for y'all bc i just had a realization.

so, this scene

my 1st watch i thought it was a towel/curtain but no ... there's a cinch around the waist and it's definitely a dress .... BUT WHERE DID HE GET IT?

it's already sonic sized .... so it can't be maddie's! the only other option would be jojo but that's just not probable .... could maddie and tom have taken sonic out to go shop for clothing, and sonic decided on getting a dress (and maybe other things) ?

i've just been thinking about it and it's making me feel so warm. like the three of them going out and sonic picking out a dress and being like IT'S SUPER PRACTICAL I CAN RUN !!!! I CAN SKATE !!!! CAN I GET THIS and maddie and tom are like of course !!!! earthly gender norms are not a Thing for him he'll wear whatever he wants to when he wants to tyvm

obv sonic doesn't wear clothes normally and he's playing dress up here but. to be a bit more serious abt it i think (even if it was just a very subtle scene + very small) this scene was great. it was so fun seeing how happy a kid can be playing dress up, wearing whatever he wants w/o it being forced upon him, wearing his mom's jewelry and just having a Fun Time. then proceeding to do his hair !!! then skate !!! it was very cool, very fun, and very amazing how they could add in this tiny thing in such a popular franchise. so slay

don't apologize about the notif!! i totally agree with what you said omg. I don't mind books without a plot at all, I think my main issue is with books that are given SO much praise, but when you read it, it's just....nothing special or even very good? really, when i read that post i was mentally like @ colleen hoover since i had to read one of her books recently for a club and it was AWFUL. but yeah, plotless books are great, highly praised bad books are disappointing

yes absolutely!! and you see it a lot with not just how books are spoken about like i’ve lost count of the amount of times people have recommended shows me to me and the only information they have to offer is that something is gay like?? ok and?? feel like it all comes back to representation being the end goal/marker of success without any further interrogation into the quality of the stories, books and shows that are being put out there.
