WILL SCARLET originally from WONDERLAND has just woken up in storybrooke, the last thing he remembers before the spell hit him was DECIDING NOT TO PUT HIS HEART BACK IN HIS CHEST. they say back in those times he was known to be +KIND, however also have his moments when he could be –DEPRESSED, and was always best recognized by EMPTY BOTTLES, BROKEN HEARTS, WILDFLOWER WINES.

ABOUT WILL BEFORE THE CURSE; Before the curse hit, Will would’ve been in his forties or fifties, married to Anastasia and known in Wonderland as the White King. Although high society was never somewhere he felt like he belonged, he was content to be with Ana and he learned to blend in well enough. He shied away from the leadership that kings usually have though, and opted to be more of a consort than share equal power with Ana.

WHERE HE WAS PICKED UP FROM; The curse took him from the moment after he got his heart back ( a little while after the 1x12 flashbacks ), and decided he would not put it back in his chest. He’s not in a good headspace at this time, he’s heartbroken over Anastasia and he is hiding from his own emotions. At this point in his life, he can barely bring himself to care that he’s just been swept up in a bizarre curse. ( Also, this is before he was a part of Regina’s s1 curse, so he would need to adjust to technology / modern inventions / etc. )

HOW HE WOULD REACT TO MEETING HIS KIDS; Because he is literally heartless at the moment, he’s a bit emotionally unavailable, but if  his kids were somehow able to prove to him that they were really his kids, he would want to spend time with them/connect/take care of them. Even without a heart he’s still generally a caring person and he’s always wanted children.

HOW HE’D REACT TO LEARNING HIS FUTURE WITH ANASTASIA; Mixed emotions. He hates her right now, resents her for breaking his heart and leaving him the way that she did. Will is physically unable to feel love for her at the moment, but he remembers what it was like to be in love with her. The knowledge that they eventually fall back in love and get the ‘happily ever after’ that they wanted from the start would kind of make him want to put his heart back in his chest and process his feelings properly.

( aimless wandering, pints of guinness, band-aids over bruises ) –– && it looks like will scarlet has finally arrived in woodshore ( though he originates from once upon a time ). although known as THE KNAVE OF HEARTS back home, here they are a 28-year old petty thief, known to be KIND, but CYNICAL. they were coaxed here with the promise of HAPPINESS. they remember WATCHING ANASTASIA DIE. -- michael socha

from what point in your characters canon are they taken from?

He was taken from the end of episode 1x11 of OUATIW. He had just gotten his heart back, got back all of his feelings and love for Anastasia, then watched Jafar kill her. 

what are the basics of their ‘new lives’?

He basically became what he was at the beginning of his story -- a thief. He’s relatively harmless; he’d never commit armed robbery or anything like that, but if valuables are left out around him, they’ll probably be gone when he leaves. In his new life he’s an only child and his parents live a few hours away in another town in Washington. Will has memories of running away to Woodshore when he was seventeen, but he doesn’t have memories of why. He’s pretty extroverted and friendly; really the only enemies he has are people who have caught him stealing from them.

what were they promised upon arrival in woodshore, and what was their reaction to receiving it?

Will was promised happiness. He’s suffered from depression on and off since he was a teenager, so the offer of being happy was too much for him to refuse. And he is happy, now, though he has the smallest, nagging feeling that he shouldn’t be. 

when they arrived in woodshore and received what was taken of them, did they gain any memories of their past? if so, what memories do they have?

Yes, he has memories of most of his life up until Anastasia’s death, however some of his memories that would inhibit his happiness were withheld: he doesn’t remember ever having a sister in the first place, let alone losing one, he doesn’t remember Lizard’s death and he doesn’t remember his love for Anastasia, or the pain of losing her.
