I hate seeing people bash on something that they didn't really try hard enough to understand, y'know? The author knows her characters better than you do after you give your opinion on the first 5 chapters despite there being around 70+ chapters.
The author is a very sweet woman that you obviously haven't tried hard at either seeing as you called her "bitchy". I've been following the comic for a very, very long time, and never once have I seen her act unkind. If she for any reason was unkind on some godawful early page, you shouldn't be so stupid and unforgiving as to pin it to her well over two years after the incident.
Same for her artistic skills and comic content. If you are offended by that stuff, be offended, but please don't condemn her entire work just because you don't agree with that one scene. it's fictional, her ideas, and her characters. She draws much better now and she's a very nice lady and her comic has definitely grown.
And about that scene that you don't agree with, and how you can't fathom how he could love him afterwards, that whole arc was about how dysfunctional he is and how he decided, of his own choice, to forgive him and love him anyways. If that character were female, you would be protecting her from anyone that said what you're saying now because she has a right to her own decisions. And guess what? The author does, as well. it's her material and she's not holding it up saying "HEY THIS IS WHAT ALL GAY RELATIONSHIPS ARE"
you people that don't want that sort of thing to be used as a plot device mean you don't want it to be used at all because I'm pretty sure you can't utilize it without it having massive impact on the characters. I can understand why you wouldn't want that sort of thing, and she could have put up trigger warnings, but aside from that I hate that all you do is complain about how she used that as a plot device i'm just going in circles now and I don't know where I'm going with this but gosh darn leave her alone it was two years ago
