I don’t think we’ve talked much about Emmeline or Annabel... so can you talk more about them? (Faceclaims, plots, etc?

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if we had!  I know they were on the last list of ideas that I’d sent you but we got so focused on figuring out the Daisy & Holland casting situation that we never really talked about the others haha!

Princess Emmeline Forbes (fc. Maddison Brown) in Bravado; x Finn — Emmeline is a princess, she’s currently 13th in line of succession, she’s at Yale for International Relations but she took a gap year with Logan, Finn, and Colin, who have been her best friends since their first year!  She’s cracking under all of the pressure that has always been on her to seem perfect, but she’s a master of pasting on a smile and maintaining her image no matter how much she feels like she might fall apart

Annabel Harkness (fc. Abigail Cowen) in when Tomorrow Comes; x Logan — so Annabel’s grandmother is Hope Gilmore, but she got pregnant as a teenager and was disowned (long before Lorelai was born), so while Annabel still knows about that branch of her family, Rory has no idea that she exists!  Annabel is the same age as Rory but she took a gap year to travel before university, and ended up crossing paths with Logan, Finn, and Colin during that time!  They didn’t spend much time together but Logan gave her his number and told her to text him when she got settled in at yale, so she’s sort of become a part of that group by the time Rory gets involved!

“My wedding day. Even in spite of everything, I would say it might still be the happiest point in my life thus far. It was at our church, as all notable events were. But it didn’t look like any traditional church. It was more like one enormous room, with a high ceiling that seemed like it was held up by the tall pillars all around the room. The only windows were in the ceiling, and the only light came in through that skylight, or was otherwise provided by candlelight.

Everyone I’d ever known was there. I was in white, and so was he, but everyone else was in red. Eleanor and Mischa, on either side of me. They had braided my hair, and weaved flowers into it. They walked me into the centre of the circle, where everyone lay more and more flowers at my feet. I was barefoot. Adam was standing across from me, and my parents were on either side of him. Just…smiling.

Everyone stood around us, in a massive circle, and they were singing softly. As Adam and I walked towards each other, my best friends and my parents stepped back to join the circle, and they started to sing, too. Adam moved to me, and I moved to him, and we embraced each other. For a long time, we just stood there like that, holding each other close; our foreheads touching, our eyes closed. Just listening, as all the voices around us became one voice.

Then, when we both knew it was time, we both lifted our heads and opened our eyes. Each of us in turn reached for the small blades we carried at our waists, no bigger than a letter opener. Each of us took the other’s left hand, and used the blade to cut our symbol; the mark of the Great Provider, a sign of eternal devotion, into their palm. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. In fact…I don’t remember it hurting at all.

Once it was done, each of us tore a piece of white fabric from our sleeves to bind each other’s hand and stop the bleeding. Then he kissed me, and I kissed him, and the singing all around us turned to cheering.”

“If I had one, I would say it would, of course, be my therapist, Emerson. She’s the only person I can be absolutely honest with. She knows all of my darkest secrets, everything that I try to hide from everyone else. The things I can hardly bear to think about, let alone speak out loud. I know I can trust her with them.”

shadowy ruins - If you had to conceal yourself from someone, where would you hide?

“Well, I’ve certainly become quite good at hiding…as well as running away. I guess, if I really had to, that’s what I would do: just get as far away as possible and go somewhere that I’d never be found. Anywhere that I had to, as long as I could still have a life out in the open, as much as possible. I hate the thought of being cut off from the rest of the world.” Again.

“Before I came to Tulpa, I was never any good at hiding things. I was a terrible liar. Once, when I was a child, I found a kitten that had been caught in a chain link fence. I helped her get free, and took care of her until she was well enough to walk again. She followed me around after that, and I hid her from my parents. She was the first real friend I ever had. I called her Sylvia. But of course, inevitably, my parents found out, and made me turn her loose. They said that it wasn’t our place to create a bond with nature and its creatures. That they weren’t ‘sacred,’ like we were.”

moorlands - Do you prefer the rain over the sunshine?

“In some ways, I suppose I do. I like to enjoy the sound of rain on the rooftop when I’m curled up in bed, and sometimes I’ll stop by a window to watch a thunder and lightning storm. Not the safest habit, I know. But my favorite time of year is autumn, when it isn’t too hot or too cold outside, and everything in the world is changing.”
