1. Do you make your bed?
Nah, it’s only going to get messed up again. If they’re badly ruffled I might shake them out just before crawling into bed again, but otherwise no, not unless I’m changing the sheets.
2. What’s your favorite number?
Nine! (9)
3. What’s your job?
I am unemployed. Signed off work indefinitely due to ill health. Having said that, I do write a lot and would love to self publish if I ever manage to complete anything.
4. If you could, would you go back to school?
I don’t know. I like studying and learning new things, but I don’t have to go back to school for that, and I don’t need a qualification/exam at the end to justify having learnt it... so maybe? If the course taught me more than self study would.
5. Can you parallel park?
No, I never learnt to drive at all.
6. A job you had which would surprise people?
I don’t think any of my jobs would surprise people. Mostly I’ve worked in warehouse jobs, shipping packages. The most interesting of which was a company that sold designer sunglasses. When you see someone spend over £600 on a pair of Dior Sunglasses, it really makes you wonder about the priorities of the human race...
7. Do you think aliens are real?
Yes. I think it’s the height of arrogance and ignorance to think that we are the only form of intelligent life in the entire universe. It’s naive, narrow-minded, and short sighted.
8. Can you drive a manual car?
Nope. I can’t drive any sort of car :D
9. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Playing PC games when I should be doing XYZ. Writing/Cleaning/Sleeping etc
10. Tattoos?
Yup! One of the base of my spine, that I got for my 18th birthday. I’d love another couple, but I just can’t afford it.
11. Favorite color?
Purple. But I’m also partial to black, dark blue, and red.
12. Things people do that drive you crazy?
I don’t actually get on with a lot of people, I just don’t have the patience to be social, which is why I function better in an online setting where I can step back if needed.
Ignorance. Stupidity. Rudeness. Intolerance for another persons opinions. These things drive me crazy faster than anything else.
13. Any Phobias?
Spiders. I don’t mean “I’m scared of spiders” either, I mean it’s a full blown Phobia. Clawing at my arms/skin until it bleeds, hyperventilating, blacking out, losing track of time, all that fun stuff.
14. Favorite childhood sport?
I was born with club feet, which progressed to knee dislocation, so I couldn’t actually do physically demanding sports. I enjoyed swimming until my knee’s began to dislocate around age 12... after that, Chess <3
15. Do you talk to yourself?
All. The. Time. It drives my mother crazy ^_^
16. What movie do you adore?
I like lots of films, just like I love lots of books and lots of different types of music. Picking one single film is impossible.
If I could only watch one film for the rest of my life though it would have to be... Mr. Right.
17. Do you like doing puzzles?
Sometimes. Depends on what kind of puzzle.
18. Favorite kind of music?
Anything, really. I’m less inclined to like Rap or R&B, but there are exceptions to that rule. I prefer music with lyrics, but I like some instrumentals. I can like 1 song an artist has done and nothing else in their catalogue, or I can adore every piece they’ve ever produced. I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to my music selections.
19. Tea or coffee?
Coffee. Tea tannin upsets my stomach. I can drink Earl Grey, and do sometimes. I could probably drink herbal or fruit based teas, but I hate the taste, so I tend to stick to Coffee :D
20. The first thing you remember you wanted to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a ballet dancer. I was born with Club Feet so it was never a possibility, but my parents never told me that. They bought me VHS tapes on how to learn to dance, and I practiced them for years until, eventually, I realised on my own I was never going to be able to do that.
Then I decided I wanted to illustrate books... Found I couldn’t so much as draw a stick figure... then I tried writing stories, loved it, and I wasn’t too shabby at that... and that’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was 9 years old. Write.
