So What Happened?

Well, fuck, right? Everything had truly gone tits up for the Montgomerys (and, y'know, the rest of the entire town!). Ava was minding her own business one minute, fleeing her house the next, while Havensdale was being eaten by the creatures of the night. Yeah, totally fuckin' bananas!

The Bad GuysTM took over Montgomery Manor, but thankfully, the McArthurs took them in. She's been sharing a room with Elena Montgomery (Jackson's room, Elena! Not 'the dead man's bed') but that's not the only reason she's wanted to scream.

Ava can do 'chill' all day long, but everything was a bit much now, don't you think? While she was living with the McArthurs, she'd started to disappear in the middle of the night; wake up in weird places, come home covered in dirt and leaves... The McArthurs started to suspect what Ava might be before she did.

Then one morning around the dining table, Stella McArthur brings it up in front of everyone because there's no way that Ethan-and-Felcity had some love baby (ew!). And they hadn't, of course. Ava was so confused when the overlapping yelling started, but if she'd been paying attention, she would have seen the look her mom and Aunt Andy shared.

And then it all comes out! Ava Montgomery is the bastard child of the weatherman-- Gorgeous frickin' George Weston! Who, BTW, is a SHIFTER, so Ava is also a shifter. And her biological mom? Her Aunt Andy Parker. Try processing that on a Sunday morning!!

Ava has been in the throes of existential dread ever since the truth came out. You know-- what is life? What are any of us? What is the TRUTH? 'Cause everyone is a damn good liar, you know? And where did Danny McReid go? In fact, where did half the town go!? She'd later come to learn about the Resistance.

In the meantime, she sporadically goes back to ex-boyfriend current-whatever Ian Morrison to spill her guts, be messy with, regrettably hook up with-- regret it, rinse and repeat. Now she knows Ian is a witch as well and the truth about Mark coming back from the dead. And all the other messed up gossip in this town.

Ava, of course, immediately confided in her human BFF Rebecca Jacobs. She also suspects that there's something going on with Elena-and-Henry, like, something definitely HappenedTM that Elena doesn't want to talk about. But hey, what happens in and out of the dome...

Does she think about approaching her bio-dad, Gorgeous George, man still currently on TV? Yes. Yes, she does. Has she done it? No, absolutely not!

The highlight of Roni's life is watching little baby Ava snark at Natasha for having spied on Tony

You know that Ava shadows Roni like a little duckling, following her everywhere and imitating her every move and expression

Roni is such a proud aunt when it comes to Ava's art, she loves hanging it up everywhere and showing it off to people even when Ava is older and finds it so embarrassing

Roni and Tony are the first people (after Pepper, who was there when it happened) to know about Ava's powers and Roni does everything she can to help Ava figure out how to control them

(maybe she even gets Ava a spot at the X-Mansion if Ava wants it, so that she can figure out control before going to Midtown?)

Ava's teeth are not very specialized; that's mostly the domain of mammals. Some vary in size, but they're all sharp and pointy. They're also replaced fairly regularly similar to the teeth of crocodiles: a replacement tooth constantly grows underneath each one currently present in the mouth, ready to pop up when necessary. This, unsurprisingly, catches her human colleagues off-guard pretty regularly when she nonchalantly pops out a loose tooth and throws it away.
